Continuing our discussion regarding the importance of updating, we strongly recommend you keep your computer up-to-date. This is easy to let slip with everything else that can take your time. This is especially relevant from a security stand point because of the continued threat of malware, virus ware and other security challenges. If you avoid updating your computer for too long, you will be putting yourself at even greater risk. Take a moment now to make sure your computer is up-to-date for:
- Operating System
- Office Suite
- Security software
In addition, by keeping your computer up-to-date, you will be ensuring you have the latest productivity enhancements for your computer; latest operating system and Office suite.
On your Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 check the System Tray (lower right corner of your display) and hover over the icons to see which ones are security-related and in need of an update. On a Mac, check your Menu Bar. Not sure? Please contact your IT resource or reply to this email and we can help you.
Note: Apple users, you may have previously had less risk by having a Mac; however, because of the increased proliferation of malware, no computer is safe.
No matter what your device is, keeping it updated on a regular basis is important and will pay you dividends in long run.
