How To Create a Calendar Entry from Text in e-mail or Text Message (iPad/iPhone iOS 8)

If you receive a text message or e-mail with a reference to a date or time (or both), the iPad/iPhone converts them to a link that you can tap to create an event on your calendar. This process is shown on iPhone with iOS 8, but works the same on iPad. The same link will be created if this was in a text message as well.
