If you receive a text message or e-mail with a reference to a date or time (or both), the iPad/iPhone converts them to a link that you can tap to create an event on your calendar. This process is shown on iPhone with iOS 8, but works the same on iPad. The same link will be created if this was in a text message as well.

You can Cut, Copy and Paste text on your iPad/iPhone just like you can on your computer. You will need to Paste the text you Cut or Copy immediately, you can NOT store up multiple snippets to Paste at one time. You will need to Copy and then Paste text or images one at a time. If you use Microsoft Exchange (and some other types of email accounts), you may be able to access your folder list that you use in the e-mail program on your computer. If you can see the folder list, you can move e-mails to folders from your Android device. The process may vary slightly depending on the Model of your Android phone, but this tutorial will point you in the right direction.
