By default your iPad/iPhone is set up to sync 1 week of mail. This means you can only see mail you received in the last week in your inbox or any of your e-mail folders. You will want to change this setting. We recommend you use the maximum setting of “no limit” so that you can see as many messages as possible in your inbox and folders.

If you use folders to store e-mail, and you want to have instant access to e-mail stored in certain folders, you will want to take a look at your “Mail Folders to Push” settings. For

In order to keep your apps on your iPad/iPhone organized, and to save space on your Home screens, you may want to use “Folders”. There used to be a maximum number of apps you could put in each folder. Now you can put as many apps as you want in a folder and scroll through the folder for the desired app. This process shown on iPhone 6 with iOS 8.

You can set it so that phone calls or Face Time calls or alerts will be silenced (phone and face time calls on iPhone, and only face time calls on iPad). You can set it so phone calls or Face Time calls from your “Favorites” are exempt from “Do Not Disturb”. You can also turn on “Repeated Calls” to allow an important phone calls and Face Time calls to come through if someone tries to call you repeatedly. When you have “Do Not Disturb” turned ON, a sliver of a moon will appear next to the time at the top of your screen. This process shown on iPhone 6 with iOS 8.

If you have another apple device (iPhone, iPod Touch) in addition to your iPad, text messages will be delivered to all devices at the same time. You may not want to receive iMessages (text messages) on your iPad if you are with a customer. You can turn this setting off on your iPad or iPhone/iPod Touch.
