You can set it so that no Face Time calls or alerts will be silenced. You can set it so Face Time calls from your “Favorites” are exempt from “Do Not Disturb”. You can also turn on “Repeated Calls” to allow an important Face Time call to come through if someone tries to Face Time you repeatedly. When you have “Do Not Disturb” turned ON, a sliver of a moon will appear next to the time at the top of your screen.
There is a new way to search your iPad for apps, e-mail, contacts, and anything else on your iPad. The location of Spotlight Search has been moved in the new iOS. Pull down on any screen to bring up the search field. Type in what you are looking for and you'll quickly find whatever you are looking for on your iPad.
Commonly used settings can now be accessed in the “Control Center”. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to view. It is available on any Home Screen, in the Lock Screen, and even in an apps that support this feature. When a feature is enabled the icon will be white. In Control Center Settings you can allow or deny access on the Lock Screen and within applications. This process is the same on iPads and iPhones using iOS 7 or higher.
It will save time if you add your most visited web sites to your “Favorites Bar” in Safari. You must first turn it on in “Settings”. This process is shown using an iPad, but the process is similar on the iPhone using iOS 7.
