Since Safari is a full browser, and stores cookies, the websites you visit most often may act sluggish. Clearing the History and then clearing Cookies and Data, will help to speed things back up. this process works the same on the iPhone.

If you have a lot of applications and save a lot of pictures to your iPad, you may have a need to keep an eye on the memory usage. If you use Cellular data as well as the Wi-Fi on your iPad you may want to monitor the Cellular Usage so that you do not exceed your data plan for your cellular carrier (avoid unnecessary charges). This tutorial will show you how to monitor the Usage on your iPad. This process works the same on the iPhone. This process is shown in iOS 6, but works the same in iOS 7. How to Turn on Passcode Or Change Simple Passcode (iPad)

It’s a good idea to use a Passcode (4 digit number) to lock your iPad. If you are using a Passcode it’s easy to change it to a different 4 digit number.

How to Enable/Disable Notifications For Apps (iPad)

Most of the apps for the iPad have some sort of notification feature. The new Notification Center in IOS 6 will collect all of your notifications (emails, calendar appointments, reminders, etc.) in one centralized location. You can view all of your active notifications at once by swiping down with your finger from the Status Bar. You will want to take the time to review the Notification Settings. Decide which applications you would like to receive notifications from.

How to Lock Screen Rotation (iPad)

This can be helpful if you are viewing something on your iPad and you want to lay the iPad on a table. Sometimes the iPad will change from portrait to landscape mode (or vice versa) when you lay it on a flat surface. You can lock the screen in landscape or portrait mode.
