Sometimes after you use the “Subtotal” function in Microsoft Excel, it is difficult to discern the new subtotals from the rest of the data. By using a group version of Formatting you can make these new rows stand out so that you can see the data at a glance.
If you have a spreadsheet containing a list of products and sales figures, or employees and their salaries, you may find the Subtotal function very useful. This video also shows how to use the basic "Filter" function. You will use the "Filter" function to sort your spreadsheet before using "Subtotal".
You may have headers/footers that you have used in one workbook and would like to use them in another workbook. Instead of re-creating the headers/footers in the second workbook, you can simply copy them from an existing workbook.
There are several ways to view your contacts/emails in Outlook. You can sort contacts/emails by multiple columns to organize information more concisely, and make it easier to locate important information. This will work in Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, and Outlook 2013.
